  1.2             relating to appropriations; appropriating money for an 
  1.3             "Intensive Intervention" transitional employment 
  1.4             training project for refugee and immigrant communities.
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.7      $500,000 is appropriated for the fiscal year ending June 
  1.8   30, 2001, from the general fund to the Southeast Asian Minnesota 
  1.9   Family Investment Program (MFIP) services collaborative to 
  1.10  replicate start-up costs for an "Intensive Intervention" 
  1.11  transitional employment training project to move refugee and 
  1.12  immigrant welfare recipients into unsubsidized employment, 
  1.13  leading to economic self-sufficiency.
