Relating to education ARTICLE 1 - SCHOOL DISTRICT INTEGRATED PEST MANAGEMENT"Parents Right To Know Act of 1999"; authorizing and providing for school districts to adopt and implement integrated pest management programs applying to property and buildings under the control of the district or a charter school; requiring school boards to review liability and property insurance policies to determine insurance coverage for events resulting from the use of pesticides; requiring school boards adopting integrated pest management plans to provide a copy of the plan and revisions to the department of agriculture; requiring school district notice to parents and school employees of the lack of insurance against the use of pesticides, of the pest management policy and of proposed pesticide applications, specifying certain notice content requirements and certain exemptions, requiring notice copy submittal to the department of agriculture; specifying certain recordkeeping requirements of the districts ARTICLE 2 - DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE DUTIESRequiring the department of agriculture and the Minnesota extension service in collaboration with the office of environmental assistance and the departments of health and children, families and learning to develop a best practices guide to integrated pest management and model notice and information materials for school district use and to provide training to school district employees in integrated pest management; requiring the agencies to review and analyze integrated pest management plans and notices, authorizing a report to the legislature; appropriating money to the department of agriculture for the program (mk)
