Relating to compulsive gambling; requiring the governor to seek voluntary contributions to fund the compulsive gambling treatment initiatives in each budget cycle in an amount directed by the legislature based on the projected costs of the programs and initiatives and to inform the legislature of the result of requests for contributions from the tribal governments; increasing the maximum reimbursement for compulsive gambling assessments; requiring the compulsive gambling program to study the effects of gambling on children of gambling parents, the prevalence of gambling in underserved and developmentally disabled populations, gambling related to crime and school based prevalence; requiring the commissioner of corrections to adopt criteria for use in conducting problem gambling assessments of offenders and to adopt rules to expand gambling assessment requirements to certain other offenses, transferring the responsibility for the assessments from the commissioner of human services to the commissioner of corrections; requiring the commissioner of human services to develop programs for gambling prevention, intervention and treatment for underserved and high risk or vulnerable populations; specifying certain governor tribal government request requirements, providing for deposit and appropriation (mk)
