  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to transportation; appropriating money for 
  1.3             metropolitan council transit and greater Minnesota 
  1.4             transit. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [METROPOLITAN TRANSIT APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.7      $6,000,000 is appropriated from the general fund to the 
  1.8   metropolitan council for transit service enhancements in the 
  1.9   metropolitan area and is available for the biennium ending June 
  1.10  30, 2001. 
  1.11     Sec. 2.  [GREATER MINNESOTA TRANSIT APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.12     $3,500,000 is appropriated from the general fund to the 
  1.13  commissioner of transportation for greater Minnesota transit 
  1.14  assistance.  The appropriation is for new systems and 
  1.15  enhancements to existing systems and is available for the 
  1.16  biennium ending June 30, 2001.
