1.1 A bill for an act 1.2 relating to county attorneys; providing for the use of 1.3 unmarked vehicles consistent with the duties of county 1.4 attorneys; providing for license plates for the 1.5 vehicles; proposing coding for new law in Minnesota 1.6 Statutes, chapter 388. 1.7 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 1.8 Section 1. [388.151] [UNMARKED VEHICLES; LICENSE PLATES.] 1.9 Vehicles used by county attorneys to investigate 1.10 allegations of criminal wrongdoings, to assist crime victims or 1.11 witnesses, to aid in prosecuting criminal offenses, and for 1.12 other uses consistent with the duties of the county attorney 1.13 which the county attorney elects to operate as unmarked must be 1.14 registered and must display passenger vehicle classification 1.15 license number plates. The registrar of motor vehicles shall 1.16 furnish the license plates at cost upon application and 1.17 certification signed by the county attorney that the vehicles 1.18 will be used exclusively for the purposes authorized by this 1.19 section.
