  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to cities; limiting license fees on coin and 
  1.3             currency activated amusement machines; proposing 
  1.4             coding for new law in Minnesota Statutes, chapter 449. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [449.20] [LIMITED LICENSE FEES ON AMUSEMENT 
  1.7   MACHINES; LICENSE PROHIBITED FOR VIOLENT VIDEO GAMES.] 
  1.8      A home rule charter or statutory city may impose by 
  1.9   ordinance a license fee on amusement machines that reasonably 
  1.10  relates to the cost of issuing the license and managing the 
  1.11  activity. 
  1.12     A home rule charter or statutory city may not license 
  1.13  amusement machines which display to a person under 18 years of 
  1.14  age violent video games rated M by the Entertainment Software 
  1.15  Rating Board.
