  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to human services; appropriating money. 
  1.3   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.4      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.5      $375,000 is appropriated from the general fund to the 
  1.6   commissioner of human services for each year of the biennium 
  1.7   ending June 30, 2001.  The funds shall be distributed to area 
  1.8   agencies on aging to provide technical support and planning 
  1.9   services to enable older adults to remain living in the 
  1.10  community.  The appropriation shall be disbursed among area 
  1.11  agencies in proportion to the number of citizens over 60 years 
  1.12  of age living in each region.
