  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION; LAKE SUPERIOR MISSISSIPPI 
  1.7   RAILROAD.] 
  1.8      $100,000 is appropriated from the general fund to the 
  1.9   commissioner of trade and economic development in fiscal year 
  1.10  2000 for a grant to the Duluth Economic Development Authority 
  1.11  for the purchase and installation of railroad ties to improve 
  1.12  the Lake Superior Mississippi Railroad scenic railway along the 
  1.13  St. Louis Bay in Duluth.
