  1.4             appropriating money. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [TECHNOLOGY GRANT; FRAZEE.] 
  1.7      (a) $50,000 is appropriated in fiscal year 2000 from the 
  1.8   general fund to the commissioner of children, families, and 
  1.9   learning for a technology grant to independent school district 
  1.10  No. 23, Frazee. 
  1.11     (b) The technology grant must be used to purchase computer 
  1.12  hardware and software, install cable and wiring, improve 
  1.13  telecommunications access, and other technology improvements 
  1.14  designed to enhance student achievement. 
  1.15     (c) This appropriation is available until June 30, 2001.
