  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to community development; providing funding 
  1.3             for a combined urban beautification and youth skill 
  1.4             development program; appropriating money. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION; URBAN BEAUTIFICATION AND YOUTH 
  1.7   SKILL DEVELOPMENT.] 
  1.8      $140,000 is appropriated from the general fund to the 
  1.9   department of trade and economic development for fiscal year 
  1.10  1999 for the purpose of making a grant to a nonprofit 
  1.11  organization for a program combining urban beautification in 
  1.12  Minneapolis and St. Paul with skill development for youth.
