  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.6      $800,000 is appropriated in fiscal year 1999 from the 
  1.7   general fund to the commissioner of children, families, and 
  1.8   learning for the southwest and west central service cooperative 
  1.9   to operate the child guide prevention program for children in 
  1.10  kindergarten through grade 6 at nine regional sites established 
  1.11  by the Minnesota service cooperatives.
