  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to the city of Hermantown; providing a sales 
  1.3             tax exemption for certain purchases. 
  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [CITY OF HERMANTOWN; SALES TAX EXEMPTION.] 
  1.6      The gross receipts from the sale of and storage, use, or 
  1.7   consumption of tangible personal property, including 
  1.8   construction materials and supplies, purchased for use by the 
  1.9   city of Hermantown for the following purposes, are exempt: 
  1.10     (1) extension of a sewer interceptor line; 
  1.11     (2) construction of a booster pump station, reservoirs, and 
  1.12  related improvements to the water system; and 
  1.13     (3) construction of a police and fire station. 
  1.14     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.15     Section 1 is effective the day after compliance by the city 
  1.16  of Hermantown with Minnesota Statutes, section 645.021, 
  1.17  subdivision 3.
