  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION; WHEAT AND BARLEY SCAB 
  1.6   RESEARCH.] 
  1.7      $500,000 is appropriated from the general fund to the 
  1.8   University of Minnesota for research on genetic weed control in 
  1.9   wheat and barley.  This appropriation is in addition to other 
  1.10  public and nonpublic money for genetic weed control research.  
  1.11  This appropriation is available until June 30, 1999.
