  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to baseball; requiring a condition and 
  1.3             certain considerations for a new stadium. 
  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [NEW BASEBALL STADIUM; CONDITION AND 
  1.6   CONSIDERATIONS.] 
  1.7      (a) In fiscal year 1998, the state must not authorize or 
  1.8   pay any amount for a new major league baseball stadium unless 
  1.9   paragraph (b) is complied with. 
  1.10     (b) Any such authorization or payment for the stadium must 
  1.11  give, or require, consideration of: 
  1.12     (1) ground-level parking adjacent to the stadium sufficient 
  1.13  to substantially serve the stadium when it is sold out; and 
  1.14     (2) direct freeway access to the stadium.
