  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to human services; authorizing an increase in 
  1.3             the payment rate for day training and habilitation 
  1.4             services. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [PAYMENT RATE INCREASE.] 
  1.7      Notwithstanding statutory provisions to the contrary, the 
  1.8   commissioner of human services shall increase the payment rate 
  1.9   for day training and habilitation services for adults with 
  1.10  mental retardation and related conditions under Minnesota 
  1.11  Statutes, sections 252.40 to 252.47, by ten percent effective 
  1.12  July 1, 1997.
