  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to corrections; appropriating money for 
  1.3             equipment for sex offender notification meetings in 
  1.4             several counties. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.7      $80,000 in fiscal year 1997 is appropriated from the 
  1.8   general fund to the commissioner of corrections to make separate 
  1.9   grants to the counties of Dodge, Fillmore, Olmsted, St. Louis, 
  1.10  Stearns, and Washington for equipment to be used by all law 
  1.11  enforcement agencies within the receiving county in connection 
  1.12  with sex offender notification meetings. 
  1.13     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.14     Section 1 is effective the day after its final enactment.
