  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to education; appropriating money for the 
  1.3             center for victims of torture. 
  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.6      $60,000 in fiscal year 1998 and $60,000 in fiscal year 1999 
  1.7   is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner of 
  1.8   children, families, and learning for the center for victims of 
  1.9   torture to hire a full-time psychologist to address behavioral 
  1.10  problems exhibited by students in the public schools who are 
  1.11  survivors of war traumas.
