  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to children; appropriating money for the 
  1.3             Greenway Readiness Program for early childhood family 
  1.4             education and early childhood special education. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [GREENWAY READINESS PROGRAM; APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.7      $87,500 is appropriated in fiscal year 1998 to the 
  1.8   commissioner of children, families, and learning for a grant to 
  1.9   Itasca county for the Greenway Readiness Program.  The program 
  1.10  shall include a full-day daily kindergarten, half-day readiness 
  1.11  program for four year olds, early childhood component, and 
  1.12  resource center.  This appropriation is available until expended.
