  1.1                          A bill for an act
  1.2             relating to natural resources; appropriating money for 
  1.3             a grant to provide access to Rydell national wildlife 
  1.4             refuge. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.7      $228,500 is appropriated from the general fund to the 
  1.8   Agassiz environmental education center in fiscal year 1998 for a 
  1.9   grant to Friends of Rydell Refuge Association, Inc.  The Friends 
  1.10  of Rydell Refuge must enter into a memorandum of agreement with 
  1.11  the United States Fish and Wildlife Service to provide for 
  1.12  people with disabilities the following facilities at Rydell 
  1.13  national wildlife refuge in Polk county: 
  1.14     (1) seven miles of paved trails, including overlooks; 
  1.15     (2) accessible fishing pier, decks, landscaping, and 
  1.16  boardwalk at sights within the refuge; 
  1.17     (3) accessible restroom facilities; 
  1.18     (4) meeting room accessibility and visitor center upgrade; 
  1.19  and 
  1.20     (5) target range accessibility.  
  1.21     Any amount unexpended in fiscal year 1998 remains available 
  1.22  for expenditure in fiscal year 1999.
