  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to education; appropriating money for a 
  1.3             Northeast Minnesota telecommunications access grant. 
  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.6      Subdivision 1.  [DEPARTMENT OF CHILDREN, FAMILIES, AND 
  1.7   LEARNING.] The sum indicated in this section is appropriated 
  1.8   from the general fund to the commissioner of children, families, 
  1.9   and learning for the fiscal year designated. 
  1.10     Subd. 2.  [UNREIMBURSED TELECOMMUNICATIONS COSTS.] For a 
  1.11  grant to the Northeast Minnesota telecommunications access grant 
  1.12  governance board: 
  1.13       $124,000       .....     1998 
  1.14  The grant shall be used for the additional costs of establishing 
  1.15  telecommunication connections by the Arrowhead Regional 
  1.16  Computing Consortium and Arrowhead library system that were not 
  1.17  included in a grant awarded under section 124C.74.
