  1.2             relating to education; providing for the continuation 
  1.3             of certain coordinated members in the teachers 
  1.4             retirement association. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [TEACHERS RETIREMENT ASSOCIATION; COORDINATED 
  1.7   MEMBER.] 
  1.8      Notwithstanding the provisions of Minnesota Statutes, 
  1.9   section 354.41, subdivision 4, a person who is a member of the 
  1.10  teachers retirement association and is employed by the Minnesota 
  1.11  federation of teachers or its affiliated branches within the 
  1.12  state or by the Minnesota education association on July 1, 1997, 
  1.13  may remain a coordinated member.
