  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.6      $1,100,000 is appropriated in fiscal year 1998 from the 
  1.7   general fund to the commissioner of children, families, and 
  1.8   learning for the north central Minnesota technology consortium's 
  1.9   gateway to the world grant.  This appropriation is available 
  1.10  until June 30, 1999.
