  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to education; appropriating money to fund the 
  1.3             establishment of the central Minnesota area learning 
  1.4             center. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.7      $130,000 is appropriated from the general fund in fiscal 
  1.8   year 1998 to the commissioner of children, families, and 
  1.9   learning for two or more of the following school districts, 
  1.10  independent school district Nos. 47, Sauk Rapids; 51, Foley; 
  1.11  738, Holdingford; 739, Kimball; 742, St. Cloud; 748, Sartell; 
  1.12  and 750, Cold Spring, that form a joint powers agreement under 
  1.13  Minnesota Statutes, section 471.59, to establish the central 
  1.14  Minnesota area learning center. 
  1.15     This appropriation is available until June 30, 1999.
