  1.3             demonstrate the ability to work and learn in socially, 
  1.4             ethnically, and racially diverse environments. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [GRADUATION RULE OUTCOME.] 
  1.7      In developing the graduation rule, the state board of 
  1.8   education must include a separate element in the profile of 
  1.9   learning that reads essentially as follows: 
  1.10     "The student will demonstrate the ability to work and learn 
  1.11  in socially, ethnically, and racially diverse environments." 
  1.12     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.13     Section 1 is effective the day following final enactment.
