Introduction - 79th Legislature (1995 - 1996)

  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to crime prevention; providing for computer 
  1.3             system improvements and training for law enforcement 
  1.4             personnel; appropriating money. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.7      Subdivision 1.  [COMMISSIONER OF PUBLIC SAFETY.] $12,000 is 
  1.8   appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner of public 
  1.9   safety for improvements to the department's driving records 
  1.10  computer system to better indicate to a peace officer whether to 
  1.11  impound the vehicle registration plates of an individual 
  1.12  pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, section 168.042. 
  1.13     Subd. 2.  [BOARD OF PEACE OFFICER STANDARDS AND TRAINING.] 
  1.14  $10,000 is appropriated from the general fund to the peace 
  1.15  officers standards and training board to provide training 
  1.16  regarding the enforcement of Minnesota Statutes, section 
  1.17  168.042, to highway patrol and local law enforcement officers.
