  1.3             implementation of the extended jurisdiction juvenile 
  1.4             system. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [EXTENDED JURISDICTION JUVENILE SYSTEM 
  1.7   DELAYED.] 
  1.8      Notwithstanding the provisions of Minnesota Statutes, 
  1.9   chapter 260, no person may be designated, prosecuted, or 
  1.10  sentenced as an extended jurisdiction juvenile.  All other 
  1.11  provisions of chapter 260 remain in effect. 
  1.12     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.13     Section 1 is effective the day following final enactment 
  1.14  and applies to crimes committed on or after that date.
