  1.1                          A bill for an act
  1.2             relating to education; authorizing funding for the 
  1.3             second and third year of the time and technology 
  1.4             enhanced curriculum school pilot project; 
  1.5             appropriating money. 
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  [TIME AND TECHNOLOGY ENHANCED CURRICULUM 
  1.8   APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.9      $83,000 in fiscal year 1996 and $83,000 in fiscal year 1997 
  1.10  are appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner of 
  1.11  education to fund the second and third years of the time and 
  1.12  technology enhanced curriculum school pilot project developed by 
  1.13  independent school district No. 94, Cloquet.  The purpose of the 
  1.14  time and technology enhanced curriculum is to improve student 
  1.15  achievement through individualized instruction and year-round 
  1.16  education. 
  1.17     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.18     Section 1 is effective July 1, 1995.
