  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to game and fish; modifying size limits for 
  1.3             walleye and northern pike; amending Minnesota Statutes 
  1.4             1994, section 97C.401, subdivision 2. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  Minnesota Statutes 1994, section 97C.401, 
  1.7   subdivision 2, is amended to read: 
  1.8      Subd. 2.  [WALLEYE; NORTHERN PIKE.] (a) Except as provided 
  1.9   in paragraphs (b) and (c), a person may take no more than one 
  1.10  walleye larger than 24 inches, one walleye smaller than 14 
  1.11  inches, and one northern pike larger than 30 36 inches daily.  
  1.12     (b) Except as provided in paragraph (c), the restrictions 
  1.13  in paragraph (a) do not apply to boundary waters. 
  1.14     (c) On Lake of the Woods, a person may take no more than 
  1.15  one walleye larger than 19.5 inches and one northern pike larger 
  1.16  than 36 inches daily. 
  1.17     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.18     Section 1 is effective June 1, 1995.
