  1.1                          A bill for an act
  1.2             relating to transportation; making certain advisory 
  1.3             bodies to the commissioner of transportation subject 
  1.4             to the open meeting law; amending Minnesota Statutes 
  1.5             1994, section 471.705. 
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  Minnesota Statutes 1994, section 471.705, is 
  1.8   amended by adding a subdivision to read: 
  1.9      Subd. 1f.  [COMMITTEES OF DEPARTMENT OF 
  1.10  TRANSPORTATION.] For purposes of this section, an areawide 
  1.11  transportation partnership or other regional entity created by 
  1.12  the commissioner of transportation to advise the commissioner on 
  1.13  the department of transportation's statewide transportation 
  1.14  improvement program is a committee of the department of 
  1.15  transportation and is subject to this section. 
  1.16     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.17     Section 1 is effective June 1, 1995.
