1.1 A bill for an act 1.2 relating to the organization and operation of state 1.3 government; reducing 1995 appropriations. 1.4 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 1.5 Section 1. [APPROPRIATION REDUCTIONS; SUMMARY.] 1.6 Subdivision 1. [SUMMARY.] The amounts set forth in 1.7 parentheses in the column headed "APPROPRIATION REDUCTIONS" are 1.8 reductions from appropriations for the fiscal year ending June 1.9 30, 1995. 1.10 SUMMARY BY FUND 1.11 APPROPRIATION 1.12 REDUCTIONS 1.13 General Fund $ (10,699,000) 1.14 Subd. 2. Legislative Coordinating 1.15 Commission (500,000) 1.16 This reduction is taken from 1.17 appropriations made in Laws 1993, 1.18 chapter 192, Laws 1994, chapter 632, or 1.19 other law, and shall be allocated by 1.20 the legislative coordinating commission 1.21 among the senate, the house of 1.22 representatives, and the legislative 1.23 commissions. 1.24 Subd. 3. JUDICIARY FINANCE 2.25 (a) Department of Corrections (2,510,000) 2.26 (b) Department of Public Safety (114,000) 2.27 Sec. 2. [AGENCY DUTIES TO UNALLOT.] 2.28 Each agency of the executive branch shall unallot as 2.29 necessary to accomplish its reductions. Each executive branch 2.30 agency shall provide a listing to the commissioner of finance, 2.31 the chair of the senate finance committee, and the chair of the 2.32 ways and means committee of the house of representatives by May 2.33 1, 1995, of the appropriation accounts to be reduced. The 2.34 commissioner of finance shall effect these reductions by June 2.35 15, 1995. 2.36 Sec. 3. [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 2.37 This act is effective the day following final enactment.
