  1.2             relating to crime prevention; expanding the sentencing 
  1.3             to service program; appropriating money. 
  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.6      For the fiscal biennium ending June 30, 1997, $....... is 
  1.7   appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner of 
  1.8   corrections to expand the sentencing to service program to 
  1.9   include work crews whose primary function is the removal of 
  1.10  graffiti and other defacing signs or symbols from public 
  1.11  property and from the property of requesting private property 
  1.12  owners.
