Request for Comment

An agency must publish notice to ask for comments from the public if the agency is considering possible new rules or changes to existing rules. The agency must give this notice at least 60 days before publishing the notice of intent to adopt or notice of hearing in the State Register. Before 1994, this notice was called the notice of intent to solicit outside opinion.
