A bill for an act
relating to higher education; making for-profit institutions ineligible for the state
grant program; amending Minnesota Statutes 2024, section 136A.121, by adding
a subdivision.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Minnesota Statutes 2024, section 136A.121, is amended by adding a subdivision
to read:

new text begin For purposes of this section, "eligible institution" has the
meaning given in section 136A.101, subdivision 4, except to be an eligible institution, a
private institution must be operated not-for-profit.

term.
