A bill for an act
relating to debtor creditor relations; providing an exemption from attachment,
garnishment, or sale for federal and state earned income tax credits; amending
Minnesota Statutes 2004, section 550.37, by adding a subdivision.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
Section 1.
Minnesota Statutes 2004, section 550.37, is amended by adding a
subdivision to read:

"Earned income tax credits" means the full
amount of any federal or state earned income tax credit refund.
