A bill for an act
relating to a professional baseball stadium; providing
an unsold seat surcharge.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin UNSOLD SEAT SURCHARGE.

new text begin The lease and use agreement for any publicly funded
professional baseball stadium in Hennepin County must provide
that $....... is paid to Hennepin County by the team for each
unsold seat beyond .. percent of capacity. Hennepin County
shall grant these funds to the Minneapolis/Hennepin County Youth
Coordinating Board for youth development activities and
facilities targeted at underserved areas and youth. Funded
programs may address a broad range of interests including
fitness, arts, early childhood activities, and healthy youth
development.
