A bill for an act
relating to horse racing; revoking current licenses unless live racing is conducted;
amending Minnesota Statutes 2006, section 240.07, by adding a subdivision.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Minnesota Statutes 2006, section 240.07, is amended by adding a
subdivision to read:

new text begin The class A license issued under section 240.05 and a class B
license issued under this section is revoked on July 1, 2009, if no live racing has occurred
at a racetrack allowed under that license by that date. The commission shall not reissue
these licenses to the licensee for 12 months following this revocation.
