A bill for an act
relating to workforce development; appropriating money to 8218 Truce Center
for worker training.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin 8218 TRUCE CENTER; APPROPRIATION.

new text begin $350,000 in fiscal year 2026 and $350,000 in fiscal year 2027 are appropriated from the
workforce development fund to the commissioner of employment and economic development
for a grant to 8218 Truce Center, a nonprofit, to train local workers. Grant money may be
used for training and support services, programming, administrative support, capacity
building, technical assistance, job readiness, and placement. Of this amount, up to ten percent
may be used by 8218 Truce Center for administrative costs. This appropriation is onetime
and available until June 30, 2027.
