BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin CANNON RIVER DAM SYSTEM; FLOOD STUDY; APPROPRIATION.

new text begin $500,000 in fiscal year 2022 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner
of natural resources for a grant to the city of Waterville for a flood study of the Cannon
River dam system. The study must include data collection and calibration, structure
surveying, HEC-HMS model development and calibration, HEC-RAS model generation,
and modeling alternative mitigation options.
