relating to workforce development; appropriating money to COPAL for worker
center programming.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin COPAL; APPROPRIATION.

new text begin $500,000 in fiscal year 2024 and $500,000 in fiscal year 2025 are appropriated from the
general fund to the commissioner of employment and economic development for a grant to
Comunidades Organizando el Poder y la Acción Latina (COPAL) for its worker center
programming that supports primarily low-income, migrant, and Latinx workers with career
planning, workforce training and education, workers' rights advocacy, health resources and
navigation, and wealth creation resources.
