A bill for an act
relating to economic development; appropriating money for a grant for the YWCA
of Minneapolis.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION.

new text begin $375,000 in fiscal year 2018 and $375,000 in fiscal year 2019 are appropriated to the
commissioner of employment and economic development for a grant to the YWCA of
Minneapolis to provide economically challenged individuals the job skills training, career
counseling, and job placement assistance necessary to secure a child development associate
credential and to have a career path in early childhood education. These amounts are added
to the base for this purpose.
