relating to capital investment; appropriating money for a property repurposing
study in the city of South St. Paul.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

REPURPOSING STUDY.

new text begin $175,000 in fiscal year 2024 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner
of employment and economic development for a grant to the city of South St. Paul to study
options for repurposing the 1927 American Legion Memorial Library after the property is
no longer used as a library. This appropriation is available until the project is completed or
abandoned, subject to Minnesota Statutes, section 16A.642. This is a onetime appropriation.
