A bill for an act
relating to motor vehicles; exempting World War II
veterans from certain fees for veterans license
plates; amending Minnesota Statutes 2004, section
168.123, by adding a subdivision.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Minnesota Statutes 2004, section 168.123, is
amended by adding a subdivision to read:

new text begin Notwithstanding subdivisions
1 and 4, the $10 additional fee for issuance of license plates
under this section and the $5 fee for transfer of such license
plates to another vehicle is waived for an applying owner or
joint owner of a motor vehicle who is a World War II veteran.
