29.051 POULTRY DISEASE ERADICATION.
The Board of Animal Health shall cooperate with the commissioner of agriculture in all
ways consistent with law. The board shall have exclusive jurisdiction and control over all matters
pertaining to poultry diseases and the control and eradication thereof. The board is authorized
to formulate, adopt, and enforce rules whereby owners of poultry breeding flocks may, upon
agreement with the board, have flocks examined, tested, and officially designated as meeting the
qualifications for any stage of eradication of any specified communicable infectious disease
when and as approved methods for official testing for the other disease may be adopted by the
board, if personnel is available and funds are appropriated for the use of the board in making the
tests and inspections.
