     119B.211 Child development education and training loans. 

    The commissioner shall establish a child development 
 education and training loan program to be administered by the 
 regional child care resource and referral programs.  The 
 commissioner shall establish application procedures, eligibility 
 criteria, terms, and other conditions necessary to make 
 educational loans under this section.  A single applicant may 
 not receive more than $1,500 per year under this program.  All 
 or part of the loan may be forgiven if the applicant continues 
 to provide child care services for a period of 24 months 
 following the completion of all courses paid for by the 
 educational loan.
