6100.1600 SWIMMING.

Swimming is permitted in state parks, forest campgrounds, and forest day use areas according to items A to H.

A.

Activities in and upon the beaches and swimming areas shall be under the direction of the lifeguard, if one is present.

B.

No person shall swim in or enter a body of water or area posted closed to swimming.

C.

No person shall allow a dog or other pet to enter the water with swimmers.

D.

No person shall enter the water before sunrise or after sunset.

E.

No person shall possess glass containers; enter a swimming area with a boat, canoe, or raft; fish; or engage in an activity that is hazardous and could cause injury to others.

F.

No person shall use soap, detergent, or shampoo.

G.

When a facility for changing clothes is provided, it is unlawful to change clothes in any other building or facility.

H.

In a state park, while in the water, no person shall use an air mattress, inner tube, or other flotation device that is not approved by the Coast Guard, except when an area is specifically designated for that use.
