A bill for an act
relating to transportation; appropriating money for a Trunk Highway 7
transportation management organization.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION; TRUNK HIGHWAY 7 TRANSPORTATION
MANAGEMENT ORGANIZATION.

new text begin (a) $200,000 in fiscal year 2027 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner
of transportation for a grant to the city of Shorewood to provide for a transportation
management organization along the marked Trunk Highway 7 corridor from the western
border of Hennepin County to marked Interstate Highway 494. This appropriation is available
for the operational activities of a transportation management organization in the cities and
school districts along this corridor and connecting roadways. This is a onetime appropriation.

new text begin (b) Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, section 16B.98, subdivision 14, the
commissioner must not use any amount of this appropriation for administrative costs.
