A bill for an act
 relating to state government; creating a statutory open appropriation for legislator
salaries required by the Legislative Salary Council; amending Minnesota Statutes
2018, section 15A.0825, by adding a subdivision.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Minnesota Statutes 2018, section 15A.0825, is amended by adding a subdivision
to read:

new text begin (a) The amount necessary to pay the salaries prescribed under
subdivision 7 for all members of the senate is annually appropriated from the general fund
to the senate to pay the salaries.

new text begin (b) The amount necessary to pay the salaries prescribed under subdivision 7 for all
members of the house of representatives is annually appropriated from the general fund to
the house of representatives to pay the salaries.
