  1.2             relating to local government; appropriating money for 
  1.3             curfew enforcement. 
  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.6      $....... is appropriated in fiscal year 1998 from the 
  1.7   general fund to the commissioner of economic security for grants 
  1.8   to local government units in the seven-county metropolitan area 
  1.9   that demonstrate a need for creating and expanding curfew 
  1.10  enforcement.  Programs funded under this provision must have 
  1.11  clearly established neighborhood, community, and family measures 
  1.12  of success and must report to the commissioner of economic 
  1.13  security on the achievement of these outcomes on or before June 
  1.14  30, 1998.
