relating to capital investment; appropriating money for Mni Sota Fund.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION; MNI SOTA FUND.

new text begin $1,000,000 in fiscal year 2025 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner
of employment and economic development for a grant to Mni Sota Fund to renovate,
construct, furnish, and equip Mni Sota Fund's future home at 2301 East Franklin Avenue
in Minneapolis to support Indigenous wealth building via homeownership, entrepreneurship,
and financial empowerment in communities across Minnesota. This appropriation is not
available until the commissioner of management and budget determines that an amount
sufficient to complete the project as described in this section has been committed to the
project. This is a onetime appropriation and is available until December 31, 2029.
