  1.2             relating to insurance; fire; regulating proof of loss; 
  1.3             amending Minnesota Statutes 1998, section 65A.01, by 
  1.4             adding a subdivision. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  Minnesota Statutes 1998, section 65A.01, is 
  1.7   amended by adding a subdivision to read: 
  1.8      Subd. 7.  [AMENDED OR EXTENDED PROOF OF LOSS.] The insurer 
  1.9   shall allow the insured to amend or extend the 60-day proof of 
  1.10  loss for good cause for an additional 60 days from notice.
